I uploaded a story recently about a friend's 2 year transformation which got lots of attention and interest from you guys. So here are a few tips that will lead you on the right path as you embark on your own fitness journey. 💪
MAKE A START: Nothing will change unless you do, so make a start. There is no "perfect" time for anything. And the "ill start next month" approach can easily lead to the next month and the month after with no action taking place.
LEARN THE BASICS: Learn good technique and correct form on some of the main lifts and exercises. Just a handful of exercises performed well can go a long way when just starting out. Learn a little about nutrition and create a regime (training split) that you can stick to consistently.
CREATING GOOD HABITS: This is an important one. Find healthy options on food that you love. Try to sleep 7-8 hours per night. Schedule your workout times and your training days and stick those.
BELIVE IN THE PROCESS: Sometimes seeing a change can be hard. A drop in weight or an increase in strength is obvious. But remember that there are many signs of progression. From the fit of your clothes to better lifting technique, more energy, less rest needed between sets ect all of these are signs of progression that is sometimes overlooked.
