About Me
For those people that want to know or maybe find themselves in the same position that I found myself in almost 10 years ago. I was 236lbs (16st 8). I didn't know much at all about fitness. I'd just spent the previous few years of my life living on takeaways gaining relationship weight and gaming for 8 hours+ every day. I felt pretty bad about it back then. Actually, REALLY bad.
So, I gave losing weight a shot (for the 100th time). I made all the mistakes you can think of when I first started, but kept going and learning different things on the way. I tried it all. Endless cardio, skipping breakfast, fasted cardio, not eating after whatever time in the day, fat burners, meal replacement shakes ect.
At the time I just wanted to lose a few stone and maintain that. (nobody sitting in my position would set a goal of becoming a PT)
But that's what happened. So, Fast forward to now and I can tell you a few things that you've probably heard before that are 100% true, there are NO quick fixes, consistency is the absolute KEY, weight loss IS a journey and your nutrition is by far the most important aspect of losing weight or building muscle.
It was tough sometimes and some weeks I lost zero lbs. But again. Consistency is KEY. Keep going, because every one of us that wants to lose weight can, you just need to make a point of starting somewhere, and realise that it's not going to be some 30-day "now I magically have abs" nonsense. It's going to take time. But......it is 1million percent worth it. I did drop 5 stone in six months in the beginning, But I loved working out so much by then that I just kept going and I have no intentions of that changing any time soon.
So make a start. It is a journey, but it's a journey I had no idea would lead to where I am today.
